Kaye Abad Explains Why She Was Spotted with Bodyguards During Shopping

Why Kaye Abad was spotted with bodyguards while shopping at the mall?

KAYE ABAD – The actress clarified the reason behind her being seen with bodyguards while shopping at a mall in Cebu.

Previously, a video of the actress walking in the mall accompanied by men in white polo shirts circulated online, leading to speculations that they were acting as her bodyguards, ensuring her safety and that of her family.

Many social media users criticized Kaye for what they perceived as extravagance, suggesting that she anticipated being mobbed by fans, necessitating multiple guards. However, some of her fans defended her, explaining that the mall typically provides guards for visiting celebrities.

Kaye Abad explained that the mall had provided the bodyguards during her visit because of her collaboration with the establishment. She mentioned that she declined the offered protection, but the bodyguards insisted they were merely following orders.

“I explained it on my social media that I did a collaboration with this supermarket. And then, they sent bodyguards. The bodyguards work for the supermarket. I told them I didn’t need bodyguards because Cebuanos are used to seeing me stroll around the mall alone,” the actress said. “But they said, ‘It’s okay, ma’am,’ because they were instructed to do so. So, I said, ‘Alright.’ So, the bodyguards that went viral were not mine, they belonged to the supermarket,” she added.
