Bugoy Cariño: “The regret was replaced by happiness”
BUGOY CARIÑO – The actor recently shared that he has no regrets about being a father to his 4-year-old daughter Scarlet.
The actor is one of the stars in a film titled “Ang Huling Sayaw” – a film directed by Errol Ropero and produced by Camerrol Entertainment Productions.
Bugoy appeared at a recent press conference for his new movie where he opened up about his showbiz career and early fatherhood.
At the press conference, the actor shared that he couldn’t help but feel a tinge of regret that he had to lie low from show business in order to focus on his personal life.
He also said that he lost out on opportunities since he had to set his career aside when he — at just 16 — got his partner EJ Laure pregnant at that time, adding that he lost a lot of projects and sponsors as well. But according to him, being a father to his daughter Scarlet erased whatever disappointment or regret he may have had.
“Those feelings disappeared when our baby arrived. The regret was replaced by happiness,” the actor said. “I say that my child is the biggest blessing God has given me. Siya ‘yung kapalit. And I’m so happy with my life now.”
The former child actor also shared that the disappointment or regret was replaced by happiness and his child is the biggest blessing that God has given him, adding that he’s so happy with his life at the moment.
It was last September 3 when Bugoy celebrated his 21st birthday. At that time, the actor popped the question to his partner – now fiancée – EJ Laure in front of people who are invited in his birthday party.
Bugoy was once touted as one of the industry’s most promising young talents as he won the “Best Child Performer” award for “Shake, Rattle & Roll 13” at the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival and was also named “Best Supporting Actor” for “Alagwa” at the 2013 Asean International Film Festival Awards.
