Former child actor Bugoy Cariño and volleyball player EJ Laure are officially engaged
BUGOY CARIÑO AND EJ LAURE – The former child actor and his volleyball player girlfriend are now officially engaged!
Bugoy Cariño is a former child actor who competed and eventually won as the Kiddie Grand Questor in “Star Circle Quest for the Next Kiddie Idol”. He became one of the cast members of “Goin’ Bulilit”.
The former child actor became a dad at the age of 16 as he has a daughter with volleyball player EJ Laure. It was last September 2020 when he and his girlfriend confirmed that they have a child named Scarlet.
It was last September 3, 2023 when he celebrated his 21st birthday. He marked his special day not only by sharing a series of photos of himself on his social media account but also by hosting his own event, as seen in a series of videos and photos on his Instagram Stories.
In one of those videos, Bugoy can be seen having a speech in front of people who are invited in his 21st birthday. At one point, Bugoy expressed his love for EJ and asked her to marry him.
“Itong babaeng ‘to, papakasalan ko. Itong babaeng ‘to, mamahalin ko hanggang dulo,” Bugoy said, referring to his girlfriend EJ Laure. “EJ, Ennajie Cruz Laure, mahal na mahal kita. Will you marry me?”
EJ then said “Yes” to Bugoy, as seen in the video.
It can be recalled that Bugoy spoke about his experience being a first-time father at the age of 16 in an interview with Karen Davila last year. At that time, he said that he and EJ almost had an abortion to save their respective career.
