Heart Evangelista: “I want a role that I’ve been preparing for all my life to give me a reason why marami akong pinagdaanan personally”
HEART EVANGELISTA – The Kapuso actress and style icon recently spoke about her dream role.
The actress starred in Kapuso TV series “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon” and also appeared in international movie “The Wedding Hustler” and Netflix reality show “Bling Empire.”
She remains as a Kapuso as she renews her contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center during an event on Thursday at The Residences at the Westin Manila in Pasig City.
But prior to her contract renewal with Sparkle GMA Artist Center, Heart talked about her dream role in an interview with GMA News Online. The Kapuso actress shared that she hopes to have a challenging role.
According to her, she wants a role that she has been preparing for all her life to give her a reason why she has been through a lot personally, adding that she “just want to use all of that for like a one-time big-time role”. She also hopes to use those experiences as an actor’s “hugot” to bring a character to life.
“It shouldn’t have to do anything about my life, but just you know, something that would challenge me and break me,” she said.
She expressed her gratitude to GMA Network during the contract signing event and said that she’s just very grateful that the network trusts her and supports her with all that she does.
The Kapuso actress has played a diverse set of characters throughout her 26-year showbiz journey – including her role as a dwarf, a struggling OFW, and a fashion socialite. Her favorite series she’s worked on include “Dwarfina”, “Codename: Asero”, “My Korean Jagiya”, “Luna Mystika”, and “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon.”
Meanwhile, Heart has addressed the issue about her falling out with her glam team.
“Life is like that. Madami tayong pagdadaanan with our careers, with our personal life,” she said in an interview with Lhar Santiago of “24 Oras”. “But everything’s for a reason, and everything is for us to be stronger so we can face anything else in life. So, I am very happy.”
