CHED SCHOLARSHIP COURSES – Here are the courses in Teacher Education field that the scholars of Commission on Higher Education (CHED) may take.

A lot of Filipinos have envisioned themselves to become teachers in the future. However, while getting this course may not cost you as much as a medical course will, you still need quite a good amount of financial resources to finish college. Meanwhile, there are entities that you can turn to for a scholarship assistance to push through with your dream of becoming an educator.

There are several private and public entities that offer scholarships. One of those under the latter is the Commission on Higher Education, more popularly called CHED. Its scholarship program has helped countless students finish their studies despite the poverty.

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has crafted eligility requirements under the scholarship offer. To be eligible, the student applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • a Filipino citizen
  • a combined annual gross income of parents/guardian which does not exceed Four Hundred Thousand Pesos (PhP 400,000), or in cases where the income exceeds PhP 400,000 an applicant must present written certification or medical findings of illness of a family member, or school certifications of two or more dependents enrolled in college;
  • Graduating high school student or high school graduate with a general average General Weighted Average (GWA)
  • For Half-SSP and Half-PESPA, GWA must be 93% but not more than 95%
  • For Full State Scholarship Program (FSSP) and Full Private Education Student Financial Assistance (FPESPA), GWA must be 96% or above.
  • avail of only one government-funded financial assistance program

The CHED scholarship courses include those that are under the Teacher Education field. Here are the courses that scholars may take under the said field:

  • Secondary Education major in Science and Mathematics
  • Culture and Arts
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Special Needs Education
  • Sports and Exercise Science

The stipends for the scholars of the CHED program was posted by the Commission. Part of these stipends is the allowance for scholars. To apply, prepare the requirements you need to submit for the CHED scholarship application.
