Guide on CHED Scholarship Courses that Scholars May Enroll

CHED SCHOLARSHIP COURSES – Scholars of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) may take these courses under the fields of maritime education and multi and interdisciplinary cluster.

One of the public entities in the Philippines that has a scholarship program is the national governing body among the colleges and universities in the country, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Its scholarship offer covers a wide range of courses across the different fields.

Among the CHED scholarship courses are those under the Maritime Education and the Multi and Interdisciplinary Cluster. Here are the CHED priority courses under these fields of studies:

Just like in other scholarship offers, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has a set of criteria for eligibility to its scholarship offer. The following are the basis:

  • a Filipino citizen
  • avail of only one government-funded financial assistance program.
  • Graduating high school student or high school graduate with a general average General Weighted Average (GWA)
  • For Half-SSP and Half-PESPA, GWA must be 93% but not more than 95%
  • For Full State Scholarship Program (FSSP) and Full Private Education Student Financial Assistance (FPESPA), GWA must be 96% or above.
  • parents/guardian have a combined annual gross income of which does not exceed Four Hundred Thousand Pesos (PhP 400,000), or in cases where the income exceeds PhP 400,000 an applicant must present written certification or medical findings of illness of a family member, or school certifications of two or more dependents enrolled in college.
