Man Loses His Vision Temporarily After Crying for 7 Days

After crying for 7 days, a man temporarily lost his vision

GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS – A Nigerian man made an ambitious attempt to set a world record by crying continuously for a week, but it had unexpected consequences, causing him to temporarily lose his vision.

Based on a recent report by BBC News, content creator Tembu Ebere decided to force himself to cry for seven days straight in an effort to secure a Guinness World Record. Throughout the week-long crying session, he experienced migraines, puffy eyes, a bloated face, and even lost his vision for 45 minutes. Ebere admitted that he cried while eating and listened to sad music in the background to intensify his tears.

Despite facing challenges, Ebere was determined to achieve his goal. He had to rethink his strategy and reduce the intensity of his wailing during the attempt. However, his prolonged crying endeavor hasn’t been officially recognized by Guinness World Records.

In response to the buzz surrounding such attempts, Guinness World Records clarified that they do not monitor records for the longest marathon crying. They reminded Nigerians to be cautious about their “record-a-thons” on social media and to seek confirmation before attempting to break any records.

Nigeria has contributed numerous attempts at Guinness World Records, with Chef Hilda Baci’s 100-hour nonstop cooking challenge being a recent success. Her effort aimed to promote Nigerian cuisine and garnered immense attention, even causing the official Guinness World Records website to crash due to overwhelming traffic.

Hilda Baci’s achievement received praise from celebrities and the vice president of Nigeria, as she completed the challenge in 93 hours and 11 minutes, breaking the previous record set in India in 2019. Her success inspired fellow Nigerians to take on similar challenges and strive for extraordinary accomplishments.
