JULIE ANNE SAN JOSE – The Kapuso singer made her first-ever appearance on ABS-CBN’s “It’s Showtime” on Monday, delighting the audience with her performance.
She kicked off the show with her hit song “Cupid,” accompanied by the all-girl group Baby Dolls. The hosts of the show, led by Vice Ganda, warmly welcomed San Jose after her captivating performance.
Expressing her excitement, San Jose said, “I’ve been waiting for this for a long time… What’s up, madlang people?” She greeted everyone and expressed her happiness to be there, considering it an honor and privilege to be in the company of the “It’s Showtime” team. San Jose confessed that she was starstruck by the hosts and the whole experience.
Taking the opportunity to promote her upcoming movie, “The Cheating Game,” in which she stars alongside on-screen partner and real-time boyfriend Rayver Cruz, San Jose invited the viewers to watch it as it hits cinemas on July 26.
The collaboration between ABS-CBN and GMA marked a significant milestone in Philippine television history on July 1 when “It’s Showtime” officially debuted on GTV Channel. The noontime show is now aired on various platforms, including Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
During the debut episode of “It’s Showtime” on GTV, Kapuso stars Sanya Lopez and Barbie Forteza also participated in the show’s opening number, highlighting the camaraderie between the two networks.
Meanwhile, Julie Anne San Jose is a well-known singer, actress, and television personality. She gained popularity after winning the singing competition show “Popstar Kids” in 2005. San Jose started her career as a singer and quickly established herself as one of the most talented young artists in the industry.
