Sunshine Cruz: “Siyempre naghahanap na tayo ng relationship na kahit papaano ay lume-level up. Hindi yung diretso”
SUNSHINE CRUZ – The actress revealed that she and Macky Mathay broke up a few days before their 6th anniversary.
The actress appeared on Karen Davila’s vlog where she spoke about her relationship with her ex-husband Cesar Montano, her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Macky Mathay, and being a single mom to her children.
To recall, Macky and Sunshine started dating in 2012 and have been open about their relationship in public from then on.
In an interview with Karen Davila, she shared that she’s the one who initiated the breakup with her ex-boyfriend. She also explained why she decided to end her relationship with him.
According to her, she broke up with him five days before their sixth anniversary. She shared that it was during the locked-in taping when she told him in a message that “I don’t think may patutunguhan pa itong relationship”.

Sunshine also emphasized how wonderful Macky is and he genuinely cares for her daughters Angelina, Sam, and Angel. However, the actress stressed her desire for a relationship that actually progresses.
“At this point in my life, I am 45, siyempre naghahanap na tayo ng relationship na kahit papaano ay lume-level up. Hindi yung diretso,” she said. “Kasi magsi-six years na pero parang diretso lang kami.”
In the same interview, Sunshine mentioned that she’s not open to remarrying as she’s okay with being a “life partner”. However, she said that she will remarry “maybe when I turn 60 or 70”.
