Meet Bharat Jain, the richest beggar in the world with a net worth of PHP49,648,264
BHARAT JAIN – A beggar from India has been named the wealthiest beggar in the world with a net worth of PHP49,648,264.
Jain has managed to amass a net worth of ₹7.5 crore (approximately $1 million) or PHP49,648,264 by begging money from strangers. His monthly earnings from begging range between ₹60,000 and ₹75,000 (around $800 to $1,000 or PHP43,479 to PHP54,349).
Jain is a married man with a family that includes his wife, two sons, his brother, and his father. Impressively, Jain owns a 2BHK (two-bedroom hall kitchen) flat in Mumbai valued at ₹1.2 crore (approximately $160,000 or PHP7,946,371) and possesses two shops in Thane that yield a monthly rental income of ₹30,000 (around $400 or PHP19,865). It is reported that Jain can be seen begging at well-known locations such as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus railway station (CSMT) or Azad Maidan.
Despite his immense wealth, Jain continues to beg on the streets of Mumbai. While many individuals struggle to earn a few hundred rupees even after working long hours, Jain manages to earn ₹2,000-2,500 (approximately $30 to $35 or PHP1,324 to PHP1,655) per day, working for 10 to 12 hours, thanks to the generosity of people passing by.
Jain and his family reside in a 1BHK duplex apartment in Parel. His children have attended a convent school and completed their education, while other family members operate a stationery store. Despite the consistent advice from his loved ones to abandon begging, Jain chooses to disregard their counsel and persists in his chosen occupation.
