HERBERT BAUTISTA – The actor-turned-politician took to the social networking site, Facebook, where he paid tribute to the late impersonator Willie Nepomuceno.
Willie Nepomuceno, who gained fame for his exceptional impersonations of Philippine presidents and other popular figures, passed away at the age of 75. The news of his passing was shared by his family on FB, expressing their deep sadness and requesting prayers.
“To our family, loved ones, and friends, It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, WILLIE NEPOMUCENO on July 26, 2023, at the age of 75. He has peacefully joined our creator. We ask for your continued prayers. Thank you very much,” his family expressed.
Among those saddened by the loss of the renowned impersonator is Herbert Bautista. On his page, he shared a photo of Willie Nepomucen, bidding farewell to the exceptional impersonator and extending condolences to his bereaved family.
“Paalam sa nag-iisang Willie Nepomuceno. Napakahusay na impersonator lalo na ng mga naging presidente ng ating bansa. Magaling din siyang mag-impersonate ng Comedy King natin na si Dolphy. Nakikiramay kami sa kanyang naulilang pamilya o kamag-anak,” he noted.
Willie Nepomuceno’s talent extended to impersonating figures like Jaime Cardinal Sin, former Manila mayor Alfredo Lim, Fernando Poe, Jr., and Rodolfo “Dolphy” Quizon.
Further details about the wake will be provided soon, while the cause of his death has not been disclosed by his family. Prior to his passing, he was in the hospital after a “bad fall,” as mentioned by Edgar Israel Taccad, who had asked for prayers for his recovery.
