“Ano naman gagawin ni luka dyan sa gensan,” says drag queen Lady Gagita on persona non grata of Pura Luka Vega
PURA LUKA VEGA DECLARED “PERSONA NON GRATA” – Drag Queen Vinzon Leojay Rubia Booc, also known as Lady Gagita, reacted to General Santos City’s declaration.
Recently, the controversial drag queen, Pura Luka Vega, was declared “persona non grata” in General Santos City. The term “persona non grata” is of Latin origin and means “an unwelcome person.” It is used to refer to individuals who are not accepted or welcomed in a specific country, organization, or social circle.
When someone is declared persona non grata, they are typically banned from entering or staying in that particular jurisdiction or community due to their actions, behavior, or affiliations that are deemed undesirable or harmful. This declaration is often made by a government or authority to express disapproval and protect the interests of the host country or group.
According to a report on “State of the Nation” by GMA News, GenSan emphasized that Pura Luka Vega’s actions “clearly offended” the Christian community. On Facebook, netizens clamor for the drag queen to be banned not only in GenSan but in the entire Philippines.
One of those who reacted to the matter is Vinzon Leojay Rubia Booc, also known as Lady Gagita. On Facebook, he noted, “ano naman gagawin ni luka dyan sa gensan hahaha.”
Pura Luka Vega gained widespread attention when a video of him performing a remix version of the Filipino Lord’s Prayer, “Ama Namin,” while dressed as Jesus Christ went viral. This performance drew criticism from the public, including senators who found it offensive, disrespectful, and blasphemous.
