Arjo Atayde: “I am just really excited. As in that is all. I am happy.”
ARJO ATAYDE – As his wedding with his actress-host Maine Mendoza nears, the actor-politician said that he’s not feeling any jitters.
At the ribbon cutting of the latest branch of his chicken inasal chain, the Kapamilya actor told reporters that he’s excited for their wedding.
“I am just really excited. As in that is all. I am happy,” the Quezon City representative told reporters.
ABS-CBN News reported that the chicken inasal brand is a joint venture of actor-politician Arjo Atayde and the director of his internationally acclaimed film “Topakk”, Richard Somes.
Along with preparations for his wedding to his fiancée, business ventures, and daily duties as a public servant, Arjo’s calendar is also packed with his endeavors in the showbiz industry as well.
Arjo and Richard will fly to Switzerland on August 5 for the world premiere of “Topakk” at the 76th Locarno Film Festival.

Richard is excited to showcase the original plot of the movie which “is brave and bold”, flaunting the Filipino brand of craftsmanship abroad. While Arjo’s schedule is seemingly full, Richard assured that the actor-politician remains on top of his respective duties.
“He (Arjo) is the most composed and organized man I had known. He is doing a lot of things. He always gets the job done. And he always trusts the people working around him,” Richard said.
The actor-politician, for his part, assured that there will be enough time for his honeymoon with his partner.
