In an interview, Boy Abunda asked Amy “If you believe in heaven, if there’s heaven for you, how do you get there?

The TV host then told the King of Talk that there was a point in her life when she’s “ready to give up life” because of a series of problems she went through. According to her, there was a time in her life when there were challenges one after another and there were also problems one after another.

She said that she wanted to quit work, wanted to quit life, and doesn’t want to do anything in her life.

It came to a point na I challenge Lord,” she said. “I went to the rooftop ng dati kong condo sabi ko, ‘Lord marami ka pang ibibigay na challenges sa buhay ko? Sige ibigay mo na sa akin lahat ngayon, ibato mo na lahat sa akin ngayon and tatanggpin ko ito.’

According to her, it came to a point when she came to her senses and thought that she had been forced to do so many things as a person.

It can be remembered that Amy Perez’s first marriage to her ex-husband Brix Ferraris – a former member of the OPM band South Border – led to a divorce.

Describing her first married life, the TV host shared that her marriage from her ex-husband was “really the lowest point”. She shared that God fulfilled her wish for a peaceful life when Carlo Castillo came into her life.

For her, her tested faith in the Lord will give her a place in heaven.

Amy and Carlo, who got married at the Mango Farm in Antipolo, Rizal on November 12, 2014, marked their 8th wedding anniversary last November 2022.
