Ysabel Ortega Shares Personal Reason Why She Does Not Use Her Real Name As Her Screen Name

YSABEL ORTEGA – The “Voltes V: Legacy” star recently shared her personal reason why she doesn’t use her real name as her screen name.

The Kapuso actress is the guest in the latest episode of “Updated with Nelson Canlas” podcast where she opened up about her family and her career in the showbiz industry.

Ysabel is the daughter of Senator Lito Lapid and actress Michelle Ortega.

The Kapuso actress shared in an interview with Nelson Canlas about her personal reason for not using her real name as her screen name. Her real name is Ysabel Lapid.

According to her, she didn’t use her father’s last name as a screen name because she wants to make a name for herself. She added that she wants to be given a fair chance when she goes on auditions.

I guess part din of why I’m not as vocal about [who my biological father] is because ‘yun nga, I also wanna make a name for myself,” Ysabel said. “Sobrang laking bagay sa akin and self-fulfillment ko rin ‘yon.

The Kapuso actress also shared in the same interview that she and her father see each other from time to time but she’s closer to her stepfather, police director Greg Pimentel, her mother married in 2018.

Pero for now po talaga mas malapit po ‘yung relationship ko with Daddy Greg. Pero we’re OK,” the actress said.

To recall, the “Voltes V: Legacy” star said in an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” that her stepfather treats her as his own daughter and she’s happy to say that she has a whole family.

She also admitted having gone through a rough patch with her father, but she’s grateful because they’re okay as they get to talk to each other and see each other from time to time as well.
