Ronnie Alonte says the recent Star Magic game was his last

RONNIE ALONTE – The actor said the recent Star Magic game was his last after being ‘benched’.

The Star Magic All-Star Games 2023 took place at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Sunday, May 21, 2023. Two teams participated in the exhibition match, and It’s Showtime emerged as the victorious team with a total of 80 points. Ion Perez, the partner of Vice Ganda, showcased an outstanding performance, contributing 25 points, seven rebounds, and three assists, and was honored with the Most Valuable Player (MVP) title.

The Star Magic All-Stars roster included Zanjoe Marudo, Daniel Padilla, Donny Pangilinan, Gerald Anderson, and Ronnie Alonte, among others. On the other hand, the It’s Showtime team comprised Ryan Bang, JC de Vera, Ion Perez, and Vhong Navarro, among others.

Apparently, many felt upset about what happened to Ronnie Alonte because they believed that the actor’s team had overlooked his basketball skills during the game. Recently, he went to the social networking site, Facebook, particularly on his My Day wherein he posted a photo of himself during the game. It was accompanied by the caption: “thankyou star magic (heart emojis)” and “Bye!”

On Instagram, IG user edits_loinie posted a video of him wherein he can be deduced saying the words: “Hindi na ako maglalaro next time, last ko na ‘to.” It seems that the recent Star Magic game was his last.

Meanwhile, netizens are giving varied reactions on the matter. Some claimed favoritism during the game while others are suggesting that sports, particularly basketball, should not be taken personally.
