Ogie Diaz Reacts to Luis Hontiveros’s Version of ‘Jopay’: “Dapat pinaghahandaan din ‘yun para makaulit”

Here’s the reaction of Ogie Diaz to the version of Luis Hontiveros of Jopay

OGIE DIAZ – The talent manager and social media personality reacted to Luis Hontiveros’s rendition of Mayonnaise’s hit song “Jopay.”

The actor and model gained significant attention on social media recently after his performance of ‘Jopay’ during the Miss Pagadian 2023 pageant on June 19, 2023, went viral. However, his rendition received heavy criticism from netizens, who deemed it “out-of-tune” and accused him of being unprepared for the event.

Luis’s response to the online backlash only fueled further criticism, as he appeared confrontational towards the netizens. He mentioned that Mayor Sammy Co and his family were among those who cheered for him, dismissing the negative comments as mere jealousy and implying that the netizens were not part of the live event.

Despite the backlash, Luis Hontiveros expressed gratitude towards his bashers, sarcastically thanking them for their comments. His response did little to alleviate the criticism he faced.

In an online show, talent manager Ogie emphasized the importance of preparation for performers like Luis, highlighting that being hired for future gigs relies on their professionalism. Ogie specifically mentioned that when accepting out-of-town shows, performers should be well-prepared, as they may have important guests such as mayors from other towns who could potentially offer future opportunities.

As of now, Luis has not responded to Ogie’s advice.

Meanwhile, Luis Hontiveros, whose full name is Enrique Roberto Luis Hontiveros Samonte is a 30-year-old Filipino-Spanish ramp model and actor from Taguig. He is a nephew of incumbent Senator Risa Hontiveros. He rose to fame when he became part of Pinoy Big Brother Lucky 7.
