Lolit Solis praises Arnold Clavio
ARNOLD CLAVIO – Veteran columnist and talent manager Lolit Solis expressed her admiration for the well-known newscaster, referring to him as a reliable figure.
Arnold Aldea Clavio, popularly known as Igan, is a radio and television newscaster, journalist, and television host. He is currently a co-anchor for GMA Network’s late-night newscast Saksi, the morning show Unang Hirit, and a morning radio show called One on One: Walang Personalan on DZBB alongside Connie Sison.
Clavio is also a columnist for the tabloid newspaper Abante, where he writes a column entitled Hirit Na! In addition to his media career, he served as the director of Solid Ground School in Plaridel, Bulacan in 1998.
Clavio’s journey in journalism began during his school days when he was a member of his school newspaper’s editorial staff. He later pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism at the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Arts and Letters. After graduating, he started his career as a news writer at DWIZ and subsequently became a field reporter for GMA Network’s radio station, DZBB.
In an Instagram post, Solis shared that she eagerly awaits Clavio’s news delivery on the program 24 Oras, praising his ability to effectively present current affairs to viewers. She credited Clavio for being the reason she is a fan of GMA News.
It is worth noting that Clavio faced controversy in the past due to an issue involving Sara Balabagan. However, despite the revelations made by Balabagan, Clavio’s career remained unaffected, and he continued to hold his position as one of the top newscasters in the country.
