On Monday, June 26, 2023, he was appointed by President Bongbong Marcos as Presidential Adviser on Poverty Alleviation. The appointment of Gadon was announced by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) on Monday, June 26.

However, a day after his appointment, Gadon learned from reliable sources that the Supreme Court has decided to disbar him. According to him, his reaction to this is to file a Motion For Reconsideration. Gadon claimed that the penalty issued to him is “too harsh” which was allegedly due to his outburst against a reporter.

Gadon stressed that his disbarment will not affect his commitment to helping the administration of President Bongbong Marcos, particularly in the aspect of poverty alleviation.

Larry Gadon noted that he’s already retired from law practice since 2015 following his involvement in politics.
