JoWaPao Speaks About Resigning with TVJ Despite Offer from TAPE

“Hindi mo puwede mabili ang utang na loob o respeto,” says JoWaPao on resigning with TVJ despite offer from TAPE

JOWAPAO – The trio consisting of Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Paolo Ballesteros opened up about resigning with TVJ despite an offer from the Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc.

The JoWaPao trio was among those who joined TVJ (Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon) in leaving TAPE. Together, they will be part of a new noontime show on TV5 starting on July 1.

During a media conference on June 20, PEP.ph asked about the driving force behind their decision to join TVJ despite the offer from the Jalosjos, the owner of TAPE. Jose emphasized that gratitude and respect cannot be replaced or bought with any amount of money. He stressed that their principles and loyalty were their motivation, and they valued the continuous sense of gratitude that comes with having principles.

“Hindi po, kagaya nga po ng sinabi ko, parang hindi mo puwedeng palitan or hindi mo puwedeng mabili ng kahit anong pera, kahit gaano kalaking halaga, ang utang na loob or respeto na tinatawag nation,” Jose said.

Wally echoed Jose’s sentiments, saying that any amount of money cannot match their loyalty to TVJ. Paolo also emphasized loyalty and shared that he has been with Eat Bulaga! for nearly 22 years, stating that following TVJ has become his basic human instinct.

“Katulad din nga ng sinabi ni Jose, hindi rin mapapantayan ng kahit na anong halaga po ang loyalty namin sa TVJ,” Wally said. “Pero ngayon, almost 22 years na ako sa eat bulaga!. So, walang kuwestiyun-kuwestiyon yon. Kumbaga, ginawa naming pagsunod sa kanila, parang it’s basic human instinct. Kung saan ang tvj, doon kami,” Paolo, on the other hand, said.
