While she has no gigs, Gigi De Lana decided to engage in live selling
GIGI DE LANA – The singer has engaged in live selling of her pre-loved clothes since she doesn’t have any other gigs at the moment.
Gigi, whose real name is Mary Gidget Dela Llana, is a singer and actress. She gained recognition after participating in the Tawag ng Tanghalan singing competition, a segment of the show It’s Showtime. Unfortunately, she did not advance to the grand finals and was eliminated during the semifinals.
She is also a member of the band called Gigi Vibes Band, which consists of Jon Cruz, LA Arquero, Harvy Jake Manalo, and Romeo Pastre Marquez. Her band regularly organizes jamming sessions, which are live-streamed on platforms like Facebook and YouTube. They also perform concerts both locally and internationally.
It can be recalled that it was on April 26, 2023, Gigi announced to her fans that she was suffering from throat nodules, which are “noncancerous growths” on the vocal cords caused by excessive use of the voice, leading to irritation in the vocal cords. Because of this, large “growths” develop in the throat, which can enlarge if not rested.
As a result, her doctor advised her not to speak. While she’s recovering from throat nodules and since she had no other gigs at the moment, she decided to engage in live selling of her pre-loved clothes.
Because she couldn’t speak, Gigi opted to write down what she wanted to say while doing the live selling. Many admired her for remaining cheerful and resourceful despite going through a difficult time. Gigi is also working hard for her mother, who is battling cancer.
