Meet Eduard Bañez, a former Star Magic artist who’s now a teacher in the US

EDUARD BAÑEZ – The former Star Magic artist and Nickelodeon anchor is now a teacher in the United States.

In an interview, he shared his unforgettable experience in America and his decision to leave showbiz in the Philippines to settle there with his family. Upon arriving in the US, Eduard faced discrimination and witnessed the widespread Asian hate that affected several Filipinos working there.

Eduard Bañez believes in increasing visibility to combat Asian hate and hopes for respect toward hardworking individuals. Currently, he’s working as a teacher at Ralph Waldo Emerson Middle School in Los Angeles. Eduard finds fulfillment in teaching physical education and sports to children aged 13 to 15. He actively partners with organizations striving to improve education and provide opportunities in communities of color.
