BUBOY VILLAR – One of the new hosts of the noontime show, “Eat Bulaga!” excitedly shared his recent car purchase on social media. After a long wait, Buboy was thrilled to replace his old car with a brand new Toyota Fortuner which he bought from the Fairview, Quezon City branch.
Expressing his gratitude to his loyal supporters, Buboy stated that his dream had become a reality through prayer and perseverance. He accompanied his Facebook post with a YouTube link to his vlog, providing a behind-the-scenes look at his car-buying journey.
Buboy Villar emphasized that the new car comfortably accommodates him and his family and will be used daily, particularly for work purposes. Additionally, he offered a glimpse of their preparations and rehearsals for “Eat Bulaga” in the vlog.
Upon seeing his post, netizens had mixed reactions. Some extended congratulations, while others speculated that the car might be a bonus from the Jalosjos family, who own TAPE, Inc., the producer of “Eat Bulaga.” Alternatively, they suggested it could be Buboy’s talent fee from the show.
In defense of the new Eat Bulaga host, his supporters dismissed the bashers’ insinuations, asserting that they were irrelevant. They believed that Buboy had acquired the funds for the car in a legitimate manner, emphasizing his hard work and ethical behavior. To them, the source of the money was of no concern as Buboy had earned it through his own efforts.
Meanwhile, Robert “Buboy” Tamayo Villar, Jr. is an actor, comedian, host, and singer. He gained early recognition through his appearance in ABS-CBN’s Little Big Star and became a member of the boy band Mak and the Dudes.
