Cellphone Buyer Dies After Being Struck on the Head With Metal Pipe by Seller

Cellphone buyer struck on the head by seller

LAGUNA- A cellphone buyer was found dead after allegedly being struck on the head with a metal pipe by a seller with whom he had reportedly failed to agree on the price. The incident occurred on Monday night, June 19, in Purok 7 Ilaya, Barangay Parian.

The suspect, identified as Elmer alias “Bukol,” convinced the victim, Domingo Ramilo Gonzales, to purchase his cellphone, and they agreed on a specific price and meet around 7:30 PM. However, when the victim was about to make the payment, the suspect suddenly raised the agreed-upon price.

This led to a heated argument between them, which reportedly prompted the suspect to grab a metal pipe and strike the victim on the head. The victim collapsed and lost consciousness.

The suspect managed to escape, while the victim’s relatives rushed him to Calamba Doctor Hospital. Unfortunately, he was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.

Meanwhile, buyers and sellers often disagree on price due to their differing perspectives and goals. Buyers want the lowest price to maximize value, while sellers consider production costs and desired profits. Negotiations aim to find a compromise.

Buyers argue for lower prices using market research, comparisons, and perceived flaws. Sellers defend pricing with unique features, quality, and costs. Resolving disagreements requires communication, compromise, and understanding.

Strategies like alternative pricing or added value can help. Finding a mutually acceptable price is crucial for a successful transaction, though impasses can occur. Cooperation and common ground lead to fair agreements that satisfy both parties.
