Angeli Pangilinan Speaks On Marriage To Gary Valenciano

Angeli Pangilinan: “It’s not been easy. Hindi madali maging asawa ni Gary”

ANGELI PANGILINAN – The talent manager recently opened up about her marriage to her husband, OPM icon Gary Valenciano.

The couple appeared on Kapamilya morning show “Magandang Buhay” in time for Father’s Day this year. In the Philippines, Father’s Day will be celebrated on June 18, 2023.

Gary and Angeli got married last August 6, 1984 in Canlubang, Laguna. The couple have three children Paolo Valenciano, Gab Valenciano, and Kiana Valenciano.

Angeli said in an interview that Gary is the “most wonderful father”, adding that they complete each other because her husband’s strengths are her weaknesses and his weaknesses are her strengths. According to her, her husband just makes so much time for their children.

The talent manager went on to express her gratitude to her husband for his humility and for his love “for imperfect me”.

It’s not been easy. Hindi madali maging asawa ni Gary,” she said. “I am not the easiest person to… Gary said, ‘You know, Angeli, you’re always right. But sometimes you say it at the wrong time. When you say something at the wrong time, it makes it wrong.’ I’m sorry for all my wrong timings.”

For his part, Gary said that it is Angeli who keeps his heart beating through the years. He went on to apologize to her for the times he hurt and failed her. The OPM icon only hopes that his wife will continue to grow with him.

According to a report on ABS-CBN News, the OPM icon has been living with diabetes since he was 14 years old.

It was last May 2018 when Gary underwent an emergency open heart surgery after his doctors discovered that his left anterior descending artery was blocked because of diabetes. That same year, Gary also revealed that he had kidney cancer.
