XYRIEL MANABAT – The actress nonchalantly replied to a body-shamer who said, “may hair yung armpit.”
Xyriel Anne Bustamante Manabat is an actress whose career began in 2009 when she participated in Star Circle Quest: Search for the Next Kiddie Idol, where she placed 3rd Runner-Up in the talent competition. Since then, she has appeared in numerous television programs, but her breakthrough role came as the young Agua and Bendita in the series “Agua Bendita.”
She also gained recognition for her lead role in the teleserye “Momay.” Xyriel’s notable appearances include “Noah,” “100 Days to Heaven,” and “Hawak Kamay.” In 2010, she won the Best Child Actress award at the 36th Metro Manila Film Festival for her role in the comedy film “Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na ‘To!).” Apart from television, Xyriel has also worked in films. Her filmography includes “Mary, Marry Me,” “Ilawod,” “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy,” and “A Mother’s Story,” among others.

Among the comments that caught her attention is from a body-shamer who said, “may hair yung armpit.” She did not let it slide by responding nonchalantly to the basher. Xyriel Manabat told the basher: “uhmm coz tao ako? So what about it? (emojis)”
