Ogie Diaz has ‘patama’ to a host which he did not name
OGIE DIAZ – The comedian/host/talent manager recently went to the social networking site, Facebook wherein he threw shade against a host which he did not name.
Ogie is a comedian, actor, entertainment reporter, and talent manager. He gained fame for his role as “Pekto” in the popular television show Palibhasa Lalake.
He was born on January 2, 1970, as the sixth of eight siblings. Tragedy struck his family when his father was killed during a robbery in 1986 when Ogie was only 16 years old. As a result, he was unable to pursue higher education and instead decided to focus on a career in show business.
In 1987, Diaz started his journey in the entertainment industry as an assistant to Cristy Fermin at Mariposa Publications. Diaz’s determination led him to overcome financial challenges, often borrowing money from neighbors to cover transportation costs to Fermin’s office at GMA Network.
Eventually, he became a writer in the early ’90s, which provided him with a stable income to support his family. As his career progressed, Diaz ventured into talent management and acting at ABS-CBN. Notable artists he has managed include actress Liza Soberano and comedian Vice Ganda.
Ogie Diaz’s versatility and talent have made him a respected figure in the Philippine entertainment industry. His comedic skills, managerial abilities, and fearless embrace of his identity have endeared him to both audiences and fellow industry professionals alike.
Recently, he went to his Facebook My Story wherein he threw shade against a host which he did not name. According to him, the latter should not be dependent on the teleprompter, a display device that prompts the person to speak with an electronic visual text of a speech or script.
