Megan Young on her cat Salem: “I’m so happy I had all those years to be your momma”
MEGAN YOUNG – The actress and beauty queen mourned the death of her black cat named Salem, who had been with her for 13 years.
The content creator posted a series of her favorite photos with her fur baby which showed the “same vibes, same feels, looks sungit on the outside but we’re really softies”. According to her, Salem was with her for 13 years.
Megan also said that she’s happy that she had all those years to be Salem’s fur mom. She even described her fur baby as a “squishy”, “sungit pero malambing”, and “matakaw sa pagkain” cat.
As seen in the caption of her social media post on Thursday, the actress and beauty queen said that it has been a week since her fur baby passed away but that it’s still difficult to process.
Megan also shared her favorite moments with her cat.
“I loved when I would rest my head on you and I could hear you purring loudly,” she said. “I loved when you would be malambing but only wanting to eat my hair. I loved when you would just snuggle with me when I would take a nap.”
She ended her social media post by expressing her love for her cat and saying “Rest well… rest easy my love…”

Aside from her black cat Salem, Megan Young and her husband Mikael Daez are also fur parents to their dogs Chia and Soba.
The couple tied the knot twice on different dates and locations last January 2020 – a wedding ceremony held last January 10 at Caleruega in Nasugbu, Batangas and another wedding ceremony held last January 25 at Subic, Zambales.
