Mariel Padilla Says She Loses Friends Because Of Elections

Mariel Padilla: “Siguro, this is why you really can’t [mix] politics sa friendship.”

MARIEL PADILLA – The TV host recently admitted that she felt hurt over losing some of her friends because of elections.

The TV host is the celebrity guest in Bea Alonzo’s “#ByBea Lie Detector” vlog episode where she can be seen taking a legit lie detector test and also answered different sets of questions.

At one point, the actress asked the TV host if she was able to see who her true friends are when her husband ran for senator in the 2022 elections in the 2022 elections.

In response, Mariel admitted that she felt hurt about losing some of her friends when her husband decided to run for senator at that time. Robin placed 1st in the senatorial race as he garnered more than 26 million votes.

The TV host also said that it’s challenging to mix politics with friendship.

Without mentioning which friends she was alluding to, Mariel told Bea that she will never accept it if someone chose to say something against her and her husband.

In the same interview, Mariel said that Robin will not give her money for luxury things, adding that she has her money to satisfy her personal needs since her husband is a politician and his salary comes from the public.

The TV host admitted that she’s “magastos” and she also believed that all women should have their own money.

According to a report on Inquirer, Mariel is currently one of the hosts of AllTV daytime show “M.O.M.S — Mhies on a Mission” with Ciara Sotto and Ruffa Gutierrez but the show has reportedly been shelved because of the supposed “technical issues” as of this writing.
