Former Church Janitor, Now CEO of a Logistics Company

Meet Julius Hilario Ladigohon, a former church janitor turned CEO

FROM JANITOR TO CEO – Julius Hilario Ladigohon is living proof that grace is given to those with faith and perseverance. His inspiring story was featured last Sunday, April 30, 2023, on Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS).

Despite growing up poor, Julius never stopped dreaming big and helping his family. He spent most of his childhood in the church, dreaming of becoming a priest.

Even though he faced challenges, Julius continued studying while working on the side as a project maker for his classmates. This was to earn money for his daily allowance. Julius endured all of this, with the main goal of finishing his studies and providing education to his siblings.

After graduating high school, he went to Manila and sought refuge in the Baclaran Church. Julius and his family spent most of their time in the church, and through this, they met Fr. Thom Hodgins, who was the parish priest at that time. Fr. Hodgins asked Julius if he wanted to work as a janitor in the church, to which he enthusiastically said yes. This began a new chapter in Julius’ life as a student.

After two years of being a janitor, Julius was given a scholarship by the church. He was thrilled and continued working as a student assistant while studying. Despite the hardships he faced, Julius did not give up, knowing that his efforts would bear fruit.

After five years, Julius graduated with a degree in B.S. in Customs and Administration. He then worked for a logistics company and was eventually promoted to Vice President. Julius decided to start his own logistics company, which his wife supported. From just two laptops and one desk, their office has now grown to ten laptops, running the PFES Worldwide Logistics Corporation.

As the saying goes, hard work and strong faith lead to success. Julius’ story is a testament to this. From being a janitor in the Baclaran church, he is now the Chief Executive Officer of his own company. He has also established several businesses and properties, proving that faith and hard work truly pay off.
