After more than 2 years, Tropang LOL will go off the air
TROPANG LOL – The long-running late-morning variety show is set to end its run after more than two years since it first premiered on October 19, 2020. The show’s hosts bid a heartfelt goodbye to their fans and fellow hosts as they wrapped up filming their final episode.
Billy Crawford, one of the hosts, took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as he confirmed the show’s finale on his Instagram page. He expressed gratitude to the show’s producer, Albee Benitez, for providing opportunities to people who had lost their jobs during a vulnerable time, especially amidst the pandemic and uncertainties in the entertainment industry. Billy also mentioned how much he will miss his co-hosts and the hardworking team behind the show.
He acknowledged that good things sometimes come to an end, but he prayed for a new opportunity to continue what they had started. Despite the tears on the last day of taping, he also mentioned the laughter and camaraderie among the team, and how the relationships built on the show will be cherished forever.
Billy’s co-host, KC Montero, also paid tribute to their Tropang LOL family on social media, acknowledging that being part of the show has been one of the highlights of his career. He expressed gratitude and bid farewell with the hope of meeting again in the future. Tropang LOL aired on TV5, Kapamilya Channel, and A2Z.
Apparently, Albee Benitez, the incumbent Mayor of Bacolod City and the producer of the show, has yet to give any reaction.
