Gardo Versoza Death Hoax: Actor’s Wife Issues Statement

Wife of Gardo Versoza issues statement to address fake news of his death

IVY VICENCIO – The wife of actor Gardo Versoza, has denied rumors that the actor had passed away. In a statement, she urged people to think before spreading such false news, as it can be difficult to explain to their children why someone who is still alive is being reported as dead.

The rumors of Gardo’s death spread on social media on April 27, 2023, prompting concerned supporters to reach out to the couple. But Ivy confirmed that Gardo was fine and was with her when they received the calls.

She also added that people should not believe everything they see on social media and should check reliable sources before spreading any news. She acknowledged that it was not only Gardo who had been a victim of such rumors and appealed to people to be more responsible in spreading information.

The false news of Gardo’s death had apparently originated from a Facebook post by veteran character actress Vangie Labalan, who had replied to a friend’s query about Gardo’s condition with the words “wala na”. However, when asked if it was true, Vangie replied that it was unclear.

Last month, Gardo had undergone an angioplasty procedure and was due for a second one.
