Danica Sotto: “Parang kinunsider na ako na high-risk because of my age”
DANICA SOTTO – The wife of retired basketball player Marc Pingris recently spoke about the challenges of giving birth at the age of 40.
It was last January 2023 when Danica and Marc welcomed their third child.
The actress and content creator recently posted a video on her YouTube channel where she shared with her supporters about her birthing experience with youngest child, Baby Jean Luc.
In her vlog, Danica Mommy Danica looked back at her previous births with eldest Jean-Michele and second born, Anielle Micaela.
Danica shared that she underwent caesarean in giving birth to her first child because “hindi ako nag-dilate”. She also said that she underwent caesarean in giving birth to her second born because she wasn’t allowed to have a normal delivery during that time.

On her third pregnancy, she said that her doctor decided to have a scheduled cesarean in order to avoid any risk because of her age.
“Talagang nag-ingat talaga ako meaning, I really ate healthy food, tapos inalagaan ko sarili ko. Nag-e-exercise ako, pero lumaki pa rin si baby… But anyway, 9.3 pounds! Biruin n’yo ‘yun!” she said. “Nung nanganak ako, same ‘yung feeling … Ang sarap nung feeling na ‘yung parang, ‘Wow! Ang galing talaga ni God. Ito ‘yung miracle of life.’”
Danica also shared that she was immensely thankful that nothing bad happened during her birth, saying that she felt the presence of God throughout her procedure.
Marc Pingris and Danica Sotto first met last 2005 and got married in a Christian ceremony last March 2007. It was last month when the couple celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary.
