RONNIE LIANG – The singer recently released a statement wherein he spoke about being a celebrity army reservist.
In a statement posted on his social media accounts, the singer said that he wants the public to know that their service to the country is not just for display as they have responsibility to respond to the call of duty when needed without expecting anything in return.
“Marami po sa amin, kabilang na ako, na naipadala na sa Sulu, ay aktibong sumasagot sa mga tawag ng pangangailangan ng ating bansa,” he said in a statement. “Ang aming pagiging kilala ay hindi hadlang sa aming serbisyo at pagmamalasakit.”
Ronnie also said that being a celebrity reservist is an opportunity for them to be a model to young people who are willing to respond to volunteer, help, and serve the countrymen.
He also pointed out the things he went through before becoming part of the Philippine Army and being officially called an Army Reservist. According to him, they’re training to be ready in times of need.
Ronnie added that they can’t be a full time soldier because they also have other jobs that need to be done, but they will respond wholeheartedly when their service is needed.
