Pope Francis Confined at Hospital in Rome
POPE FRANCIS – Vatican released an update on the condition of the Supreme Pontiff of the Catholic Church at Gemelli Hospital now.
Recently, many devotees of the Catholic Church included in their prayers the fast recovery of Pope Francis. It was after Vatican announced that the Supreme Pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church was brought to the hospital due to breathing difficulties.

Last Wednesday, Pope Francis was brought to the hospital by an ambulance after his general audience at St. Peter’s Square. Supposedly, he was set for a television interview after his general audience but it was cancelled and he was brought to the hospital.
According to Vatican spokesperson Matteo Bruni, the Pope was suffering from breathing difficulties in the recent days. He went through a chest CT Scan and he also went through laboratory tests. His blood saturation levels are okay and no heart problem was detected.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Pope Francis was found to have bronchitis and he was given antibiotics while he is confined at Gemelli hospital in Rome. According to the medical staff, the Supreme Pontiff is showing “marked improvement” following the administration of his medication.
The medical staff also said that the Pope may be discharged from the hospital in the coming days. According to Vatican spokesperson Matteo Bruni, he spent the afternoon resting, praying, and doing some works while he is confined at the hospital.
Currently, it is still unclear if the Pope will be returning to Vatican for the Holy Week celebrations. The 86-year-old Pontiff is grateful over the prayers for his fast recovery and the messages of love and support for him.
