Instead of items for her baby, a mother who ordered online received several pieces of small stones
EXPECTATION VS REALITY – A mother took to social media wherein she expressed her disappointment after she received small stones instead of the baby items she had ordered.
The mother, who is known by the online alias “Tin,” hails from Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, and had placed an order with a Facebook page called Baby’s Buttom. Tin had hoped to purchase four baby bottles, one pacifier, one milk storage, and one bottle brush for her newborn baby. However, upon opening the package that arrived on March 16, 2023, she was surprised to find that it contained only small stones.
Tin was so displeased with her experience that she took to social media to share her story. In her post, she revealed that before placing her order, she had thoroughly checked the seller’s reviews and feedback, which all seemed positive. This gave her the confidence to make the purchase and pay P650 for the baby items.
What makes Tin’s experience even more frustrating is the fact that she had opted for cash on delivery as the mode of payment. This means that she did not pay for the package until she had received it, yet she still ended up with small stones instead of the baby items she had ordered.
Meanwhile, some netizens said that the unfortunate experience serves as a warning to other online shoppers to be cautious and vigilant when making purchases on the internet. It highlights the importance of verifying the credibility of online sellers and conducting thorough research before making any online purchase, as well as being prepared for the possibility of receiving incorrect or faulty items.
