After LA Tenorio revealed he has cancer, Marc Pingris expresses support to him
MARC PINGRIS – The former PBA player expressed his support to fellow cager LA Tenorio who was diagnosed with colon cancer.
It was just recently when LA Tenorio, a professional basketball player in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), revealed that he has been diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. This news has brought shock and sadness to the basketball community and his fans.
Tenorio shared that his initial testing three weeks ago led him to miss practices and games. He has completed his surgery last week and will undergo treatment for the next few months. As a dedicated athlete who has given 17 full years to the PBA and his whole life to basketball, Tenorio committed his body and health to the sport he loves. However, he acknowledged that there are things beyond one’s control and expressed his faith in God and his belief in a higher purpose as he goes through this part of his life.
Despite his current health condition, Tenorio vowed that he is not yet retiring from basketball. He expressed his determination to touch a basketball once more and return stronger with the help of the best doctors in the Philippines and Singapore.
Among those who expressed suppport to Tenorio is former PBA player, Marc Pingris. “Dasal lang tol, kaya yan! Ikaw pa ang lakas mo na tao. Kaya ka nga #ironman eh. Dito lang kami tol, madami nagmamahal sayo at nag dadasal!! Pagaling at palakas ka L.A. Tenorio!! See you soon sa laro ng PBA!” he said.
Meanwhile, Tenorio is widely regarded as one of the top players in the league, having played an impressive 744 consecutive games.
