John Matthew Salilig Case Speaks on Welcoming Rites of Frat
JOHN MATTHEW SALILIG CASE WITNESS – Roi spoke on the alleged happenings during the welcoming rites of Tau Gamma Phi fraternity.
Countless hearts were left broken and crying for justice over the death of John Matthew Salilig, a 24-year-old student of Adamson University. He was taking chemical engineering in the said University.
John Matthew allegedly died after attending the welcoming rites of Tau Gamma Phi fraternity. According to his brother, he’s a member of the Zamboanga chapter of the said fraternity. Two of his brothers are also a member of the said frat and their father was also a frat member.
However, they never heard from John Matthew again after he left for the welcoming rites. His lifeless body was found buried in a shallow grave in Imus, Cavite 10 days after he was first reported missing.
One of the people who claimed that he was also present at the welcoming rites reached out to the authorities. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Roi, a 21-year-old Political Science student, is now a witness to John Matthew Salilig case.
Speaking to the team of Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, Roi claimed that he met John Matthew when he arrived on the eve of the welcoming rites at the unfinished house of one of the frat member’s father. It was where the hazing took place.
The witness claimed that he heard John Matthew complaining of stomach pain during the hazing. He also said that he wanted to poop. He was also told by the fratmen not to be like Matthew whom one of the member’s called dramatic.
Based on the report, Roi further expressed that he and John Matthew ate instant noodles after the hazing. The John Matthew Salilig case witness claimed that after it, they were brought to the house of another frat member.
However, when they arrived, Matthew allegedly seizured when they were about to get off the car. Roi claimed that he suggested to bring him to the hospital but the frat members allegedly declined the request.
According to Roi, he made an alibi that his father traced him so the group will allow him to go home. He went home and, the following day, he found out that Salilig died.
