Earlier, a TikTok video was uploaded by Jordan Schaffer, an employee at Charleston’s Restaurant in Omaha, in which he shared his encounter with Jason Derulo and his family. The video shows Jason Derulo writing something on the bill, which amounted to $759.99.

“Wow, my heart’s beating really fast,” Jordan tells Jason, making everyone cheer. To which Jason responded, “You guys are really awesome man.”

Afterwards, the footage transitions to Jordan expressing his appreciation to the musician for the substantial amount of money he left as a gratuity. “You just paid for a semester at my college. I can’t say thank you enough,” Jordan said. “I hope you and your family have a wonderful time in Omaha and I hope you see us again.”
