Karyll became top trending topic in Twitter on Thursday night, February 2, 2023. This was after some fans of the singer/TV host/actress complained about the alleged “disrespect” and “unfair treatment” she experienced from her co-hosts on ABS-CBN noontime show, particularly Vice Ganda.

In a 38-second video posted on the microblogging site, Karylle can be seen “reporting” to Vice Ganda the preparation Vhong Navarro went through for a song number but did not go on after it was given to others.

“Vice, may request si Vhongskie. Kasi last time nagre-rehearse siya sa umaga, tapos binigay mo sa iba yung kanta niya,” Karylle said. “Anong problema natin, Karylle?” Vice Ganda asked.

The wife of Spongecola frontman Yael Yuzon continued: “Hindi, natatawa lang kami kasi isang buwan, pinraktis daw niya.” Vice, on the other hand, relayed to Vhong: “O, e, di sana kinanta mo.”

Karylle went on saying: “Sa bawat sulok daw ng bahay niya pinraktis niya.” To which she replied: “O, okay na yan, Karylle.”

Their co-hosts Vhong, Jhong Hilario, Amy Perez, Teddy Corpuz, Jugs Julueta, Ion Perez, Ryan Bang, MC, and Lassy burst in laughter following the scene.

Apparently, Vice’s actions enraged many netizens, particularly Karylle’s fans. According to them, Karylle doesn’t deserve this kind of treatment especially “maitsapuwera” in the program since she’s one of the original and resident hosts of It’s Showtime.

There were also netizens questioning the “reduction” of her exposure. They urged the program to pay attention to such incidents and prevent them from happening again.
