Couple who played in the Pinoy Henyo segment of Eat Bulaga were accused of cheating
PINOY HENYO – A couple who played during the Valentine’s Day episode of the popular Eat Bulaga segment were accused of cheating.
One of the most popular segments of Eat Bulaga is Pinoy Henyo. It has also grown to be a popular parlor game among players of all ages, genders, socioeconomic backgrounds, and religions since it was first introduced in 2004.
The game has developed into a defining “Tatak Eat Bulaga!” segment thanks to its various editions over the course of its run. The segment has been termed the “pambansang laro ng bayan” by host Joey de Leon due to its astounding popularity as a Filipino parlor game.
Three couples typically participate in the daily elimination round. The main objective of the game is to properly guess the word in less than two minutes.
The other player may only respond with “Oo” (yes), “Hindi” (no), or “Pwede” (maybe/possibly), while the word-guesser must ask a sequence of deductive questions that become more explicit over time.
A three-second delay will apply to any additional responses. The couple who completed the task the quickest advances to the jackpot round.
In the Valentine’s Day episode of the noontime show, a couple named Lyka and Ryan were among the players of the said segment. The guy was tasked to ask questions while girl was the one answering.
However, the two were accused by netizens of cheating during the game. Some netizens claimed that Lyka can be seen looking at the hosts before signaling the correct answer ‘stomach’. Ryan correctly answered ‘stomach,’ causing internet users to be skeptical. The couple won P20,000 and automatically entered to the jackpot round.
