AREAS ELIGIBLE FOR GSIS CALAMITY LOAN – Here is a list of the areas covered by the GSIS Calamity Loan offer from February to March 2023.

In the Philippines, one of the biggest social insurance institutions is the Government Service Insurance System or more commonly called GSIS. Its members are individuals who are working in the government and the public agencies and those who have previously worked in the government and state-run institutions.

GSIS has several offers for its eligible members. One of these is the calamity loan offer thus GSIS members whose residence area or workplace location is under a State of Calamity has something to turn to for financial aid in their recovery. A member may borrow up to P20,000 and it can be paid in three (3) years or up to 36 monthly installment.

Areas Eligible For GSIS Calamity Loan

The Government Service Insurance System posts the lists of areas whose residents and workers who are GSIS members are eligible to apply for the Calamity Loan offer. The government agency updates the lists every once in a while to inform the public about the changes in the eligibilities.

Reason: Effects of Low Pressure Area (LPA) in Visayas
Granting Period: January 30 to February 28, 2023
Areas Covered:

  • Eastern Samar
  • Western Samar
  • Northern Samar
  • Siaton, Negros Oriental
  • Sta. Catalina, Negros Oriental

Reason: Heavy Rains in Luzon
Granting Period: January 31 to March 1, 2023
Areas Covered:

  • Brooke’s Point, Palawan

Reason: Typhoon Paeng
Granting Period: January 3 to February 2, 2023
Areas Covered:

  • Santiago City, Isabela
  • Ilagan City, Isabela
  • Culion, Palawan
