The actress shared she’s proud of what she has done in the musical film and she also hopes that people can be respectful about it as well.

According to the Kapuso actress, she’s happy that films like “Ako Si Ninoy” are being produced so that Gen Z kids can learn more about the country’s history in a more digestible medium.

My character represents the Gen Z kids. I learn more about the past through my character,” she said. “It’s good to be aware of what happened in our history and apply what we have learned from it into the present time.

In the same interview, Cassy said that “Ako si Ninoy” is her “first film, first musical, [and] first heavy drama” project as she’s used to doing commercial projects. She also said that “Ako si Ninoy” was quite a challenge for her.

Cassy also said that she only wanted to do romantic-comedy or action projects back then, but she’s now looking forward to doing drama. According to her, she gets to be more serious instead of the “usual cutesy-cutesy” in “Ako si Ninoy”.

Meanwhile, the Kapuso actress said that she will be open to the idea of either doing solo projects or being in a love team. But given the chance, she said that she would love to work with actor Alden Richards.

As she takes on more challenging projects, she hopes to finally prove her worth as an actress and not just Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi’s daughter or Mavy Legaspi’s twin sister.
