BONGBONG MARCOS – The President of the Republic of the Philippines was featured in an episode of “Jeopardy!”, a long-running American game show.

The three participants were questioned during the wager round of the game about which nation has had a president since 2022 who has “taken so many foreign trips” and has a play on his name, “Ferdinand Magellan Jr.”

Avi Gupta, one of the participants, gave the correct answer which is the Philippines. “What (is) the Philippines? That is correct. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. also known as Bongbong,” Mayim Bialik, the host confirmed.

Since taking office on June 30, 2022, Bongbong Marcos, the 17th and current president, has traveled to nine different nations on ten separate occasions.

The President of the Philippines travels abroad to “foster and maintain” relations with other countries and to visit other leaders of state and/or government, according to the Official Gazette. These journeys are categorized by the Department of Foreign Affairs as either state visits, official visits, or working visits.

Among the countries he visited were Belgium, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore (twice), Switzerland, Thailand, and the United States.

Meanwhile, Jeopardy!, an American game show, is a quiz competition that reverses the traditional question-and-answer format of many quiz shows. Contestants are given general knowledge clues in the form of answers rather than questions, and they must choose the person, place, thing, or idea that the clue depicts while wording each response as a question.
