Jeff de Vera story, from palaboy to promotions manager
FROM PALABOY TO MANAGER – Because of a viral TikTok video, a former palaboy or homeless is now a promotions manager.
It was on November 2022 when a certain Claudine Abel took a video of Sadha Shiva “Jeff” de Vera, 40. In the video, Jeff can be seen gently kissing a kitten. When he noticed that someone is recording him, he gave a smile at the same time wave his hand while holding the kitten.
Claudine posted the video on social media and as of press time, it has earned more than 5.7 million views. Many were touched by the gesture of Jeff. The video was followed by other videos of Claudine helping Jeff and it paved his way to rise up from his situation.
Now, Jeff is no longer living in the streets. He’s renting and is currently working as a promotions manager of an insurance company. His life changed because of a TikTok video that went viral.
In an interview via Good News of GMA News last January 18, Claudine shared how she met Jeff. According to her, she was on board a her car when came across the latter.

To make the long story short, after helping him all throughout including his make over, Claudine brought him where her partner is working. Jeff was hired as utility personnel. He’s in charge of cleaning and giving assistance to other employees.
Because of his good communication skills and people skills, he was promoted as promotions manager. Before he became a palaboy, Jeff was employed. But when the pandemic came, he lost his job. Then, he failed to cope up with his bills including the place where he stays.
For three years, he slept at the underpass in Taguig along with cats. According to him, he used to live in the streets. Although he has siblings, he did not want to cause any problem toward them. Now, he’s doing well and is enjoying his job.
