MARIS RACAL – The “back to work” posts of the actress-singer generated mixed reactions from the netizens.
Maris Racal rose to fame in 2014 after joining Pinoy Big Brother: All In where she placed second. She grew up in a musically inclined family and learned to sing and play instruments at a young age. She can play the guitar, piano, ukulele, and beatbox, some of which she learned on her own by watching various videos online.
After her PBB stint, Maris Racal signed a deal with Star Magic. In February 2016, she was introduced as one of the members of the all-girl dance group, Girltrends. The following year, she was officially launched as one of the members of ASAP’s sing-and-dance group, BFF5.
Recently, she went to the social networking site, Facebook wherein she posted several photos of her with the caption: “back to work.” Some netizens were quick to relate it to the controversial statement of Donnalyn Bartolome about getting “back to work” after the holidays.
Presently, Donnalyn is making the rounds online due to her “back to work” post. The social media influencer was wondering why so many employees are sad when they return to work after the holidays. She exclaimed that they should be happy because there is another chance to improve their lives and the lives of their families.
Because of her statement, many netizens were dismayed at her with some calling her “inconsiderate,” “insensitive,” and spreader of “toxic positivity”. After earning backlash, she made a clarification on her first post.
