HERLENE BUDOL – The comedienne-beauty queen responded to a netizen who told her she could have entered the Top 5 of Miss Universe if she joined the pageant.

Herlene, also known as “Hipon Girl,” rose to prominence following her appearance on Wowowin’s Willie of Fortune segment. Due to her talent and funny jokes, Willie Revillame later decided to make her a regular host of his show.

Aside from hosting, she also dabbled in acting as well as vlogging. In fact, she has over 2 million subscribers at press time.

She ventured into pageantry as well. In fact, she came in second place in Binibining Pilipinas 2022, winning seven special awards. She was supposed to compete for Miss Planet International, however, she decided to withdraw.

it was on January 14, 2023 (US time) when the 71st Miss Universe pageant was held. R’Bonney Gabriel of the United States was crowned as Miss Universe 2022. It was the United States’ first victory in 10 years.

Apparently, the country’s reprentative Celeste Cortesi failed to secure a spot in the prestigious beauty pageant. Among those who showed support toward her is no less than Herlene Budol aka Hipon Girl.

On Facebook, she posted a photo of her with the caption: “Celeste maganda ka pa din. We love you (kiss emoji) Ako nga na budol e.” As expected, her posted generated mixed reactions from the netizens.

In the comment section, she stressed: “Wag nating ipilit di tayo pang MU pang bardagulan Lang tayo don tayo Sa kung saan lang tayo bagay. Ano sa tingin nyo?”

A netizen commented on her post, saying: “Siguro kung ikaw nag join sa MU kahit panu nakasali k sa top 5.” To which she replied: “malabo bobo po ako haha.”
