Arnold Clavio reacts to cake issue of Alex Gonzaga
ARNOLD CLAVIO – The veteran broadcast journalist took to social media platform, Instagram wherein he reacted to Alex Gonzaga’s smearing of cake on a waiter’s forehead.
In his “Tilamsik ni Igan” via IG, the broadcaster couldn’t help but express his disappointment toward the actress-vlogger. In the first part of his post, Clavio quoted a phrase from Kiana Tom, saying: “Treat everyone with respect and kindness. Period. No exceptions.”
According to him, he was hurt how Alex treated the waiter. “Bilang dating waiter sa isang fastfood restaurant noong nasa kolehiyo , di ko maatim na hindi mag-react sa maling trato ni Gonzaga sa aking kabaro,” he noted.
Arnold Clavio worked as a waiter, busboy and cook at KFC Roxas Boulevard branch from 1985-1987. Being a working student was a big help in order for him to finish his studies at the University of Sto. Tomas.
He’s proud of the experiences he had while working as a waiter. And whenever his children go out to eat at restos, he constantly remind them to respect the waiter. Clavio said that it’s obvious that the waiter in Alex Gonzaga’s video felt embarrassed, hurt and insulted when the latter smeared cake on his forehead.
The broadcaster said that Gonzaga is known for being “kikay” as a comedienne which is why many love her. However, she should keep in mind that everything has a limit and that many young people look up to her.
Clavio concluded his post by saying that the actress-vlogger should apologize to the waiter as well as make a public apology to netizens who were offended by what she did to the waiter.
