EXCHANGE GIFT – A young girl was left heartbroken after her classmate returned her gift during their Christmas party.
Christine Ursua Francisco, a mother, recently went to the social networking site, Facebook wherein she shared the “traumatizing” experience her daughter had during a Christmas Party. In a lenghty post, Francisco narrated that it was the first time her daughter Criza Maine to join a Christmas Party. In fact, she was the one who bought her gift, a pop it bag worth more than P100.
The Christmas party went on with games, snacks and eventually exchanging of gifts. After the party, Christine chose to help their teacher clean the room. Then, her daughter approached her and sadly said: “ma binalik ung gift ko”.
“Before that pala sinauli ng kapalitan nya with her mother ung gift nya at kinuha dn ung gift nung bata in front of other classmates,” the mother said. Christine said that she saw sadness in the face of her daughter. In order to somehow pacify what she felt at the time, she told her daughter that she will buy her a gift instead.
While they were on their way home, her daughter asked her: “ma ayaw nila ng gift ko?” Christine said that she was like being shattered into pieces. She told her daughter that maybe her classmate doesn’t like girl things. According to Christine, it was the very first time her daughter joined a Christmas party. “kya grabe nasaktan ako pra sa anak ko,” she said.
