Here’s the result and video highlights of the Manny Pacquiao vs DK Yoo exhibition match
MANNY PACQUIAO – The People’s Champ and former senator won via unanimous decision during his exhibition boxing bout against Korean martial artist and popular YouTube star DK Yoo.
It was on Sunday, December 11 when the two faced off in a boxing match held at the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX), Gyeonggi, South Korea. Pacquiao once again showed his prowess in the boxing ring by knocking down the 42-year-old Korean martial artist who stands at 5’10” tall.
“It’s nice to be back in the ring for this charity exhibition match. I’m going to continue my training to get back in shape,” said Pacquiao in an interview with The Mirror after his fight with DK Yoo.
When asked if he’s going to return to legitimate professional boxing next year, he said: “You’ll see.” On the other hand, when asked for reaction of possible exhibition match against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2023, he said: “I don’t know [if he’ll accept an exhibition with me]. I don’t have an idea because that guy always changes his decision.”
Pacquiao’s friendly boxing match with DK You is his first return to the boxing ring since Cuban boxer Yordenis Ugás defeated him in their welterweight professional boxing match in August 2021 in Paradise, Nevada, USA.
Pacquiao will turn 44 on December 17, and his victory in the six-round friendly exhibition match against DK Yoo was one of the early presents he received. The proceeds from Pacquiao’s fight with DK Yoo will go to victims of the Ukrainian war.
